Hundreds of jobs coming to Duluth

The New Year has started with some great news for Duluth, its jobseekers, and the military veterans living in and around the Gwinnett County area. An Atlanta business specializing in hiring our veterans in customer-facing positions is set to bring 300 contact center jobs to the area.

Likely to lead to a surge in business card printing orders in the area, VetConnexx made the announcement towards the end of last year. The firm’s founder, Larry Ellis, said:

“We are excited to announce Gwinnett County as the home of our third location in the VetConnexx service offering.”

Citing the location as important to his firm’s efforts, Ellis, who is also the chief executive officer, said:

“We believe this is a thriving community that will enable us to continue providing jobs for veterans, as well as offering excellent support services to our clients.”

The new contact center encompasses nearly 31,000 square feet. It has been specifically designed for the 300 customer service agents taking up residence. However, the offices occupied by VetConnexx could be home to over 500 workers eventually.

The center has a central location, right in the heart of the Greater Gwinnett Place Opportunity Zone. The offices taken up are at suite 200, at the site 3100 Breckenridge Boulevard.

It is the newest opportunity district in the area, which encourages businesses to invest and base themselves here. With a number of tax benefits available, it is also seen as a way to generate greater community investment.
