Sandy Springs set for job fair

The news early in January that GM was coming to Georgia was very welcome for the local North Fulton area, and Roswell in particular of course. However, throughout the area, more and more companies are bringing jobs to North Fulton County. It all promises to make 2013 a great year from business and economic growth.

All in, it is expected that Sandy Springs residents and folks in other areas about the place could benefit from nearly 1,500 jobs over coming weeks. As well as GM coming to town with 1,000 positions at its new center, the likes of EndoChoice and HP will also be recruiting in hundreds of roles.

Another major local employer likely to be arranging flyer and poster printing for recruitment soon is Northside Hospital. Next week, the full service community hospital is set to start its campaign to fill somewhere around 500 posts.

The fair will run at its main Sandy Springs campus site at the former Marriot Courtyard. The campus is located on the corner of Johnson Ferry Road and Peachtree Dunwoody Road, with the event running from 11:00 am through 3:00 pm on Wednesday, January 16.

There are a number of positions waiting to be filled, so many opportunities exist for anyone looking to get into work or start something new. Posts up for grabs include pharmacy, food service, and patient access roles.

There are also a number of nursing disciplines with vacancies too, including within oncology and cardiology. Surgical nurses are also being sought, whilst nursing professionals with experience in women’s service are also being targeted.
