Sandy Springs fright night functions ideal for foodies
October 26, 2012 by James
Cupcakes are being baked, pumpkins being carved, candy being cottoned, and costumes being made with Halloween just round the corner. Many of the plans are being taken care of for the kids, of course, but there is fun to be had for the older ones in Sandy Springs too.
Restaurants in and around the town are joining in with hundreds of other restaurants across the Atlanta area. Offering Halloween contests and festive dishes, it will make for great times for adults and families alike.
One restaurant taking part is Food 101. The popular Sandy Springs restaurant is all decked out in celebration of the spooky season already, with banner printing and decorations of all sorts visible.
On the frightful night itself, the restaurant will also be putting on more than just a feast for its patrons, with a costume contest supplying great fun the evening. The scariest, most creative and all-round best costumes will all get prizes too, including gift certificates for future meals.
Another local restaurant getting into the swing of things sees Meehan’s having its own costume competition and live entertainment tomorrow, October 27.
There is also a marathon in aid of the American Lung Association taking tomorrow, ending at the restaurant, where plenty of candy will be available to replenish those burned off calories.
With print shops busily printing up scary stationery for all manner of parties and competitions through the town, Halloween 2012 looks like being a terrific success.
