New Walking Dead convention inspired by TV show

A new convention, a one-man play and a podcast have all been inspired by a popular AMC TV show, “The Walking Dead”. The Atlanta based convention will be held in November and is expected to attract over 10,000 participants.

James Frazier and Eric Nordhoff travelled from Nashville to Atlanta, Georgia in 2012 to watch the filming of the TV show. The pair are now known as the Walker Stalkers and are the creators of the convention and podcast. Some of the actors of the show will appear at the convention where zombies will be fought by the Walking Dead characters in the streets of Atlanta. The show is now in its fourth season, attracting more viewers than ever before with 16.1 million people tuning in to watch. Frazier and Nordhoff are neighbors and would get together each Sunday to view “The Walking Dead” in the basement. When they heard that there would be a day of filming in Atlanta, the pair decided to make the journey. After meeting the cast of the show, they developed a podcast which has become extremely popular with fans.

One of the actors of the show has also decided to create a one-man play, based on his own life growing up in Atlanta. Although the fans will no doubt be aware of the impending show, the use of local print companies will boost attendance at it, perhaps if used with low cost flyer printing. Robert Singleton believes that his show will inspire people.
