Shop in the Red Bag Days
November 13, 2011 by James
Red Bags Days will take place from November 17-20 in Winter Park. 35 stores along Park Avenue, Morse Boulevard and Hannibal Square will be opening their doors and offering discounts to shoppers. A special red carrier bag can be picked up at the Orlando Museum of Art’s Festival of Trees or at participating stores.
Many people will have to economize this upcoming holiday season due to either wage cuts or unemployment; gifts will be less expensive but more personal. Events like this help both the consumer and the stores themselves; they get people shopping. In order for the economy to recover, people need to be spending money with businesses. In order to further advertise that they are taking part in the Red Bag Days, participating stores can also send flyers out to Winter Park residents. Flyer printing is a very economical way to get the message out. Offering a further discount to those who bring in the flyer would also be another incentive for them to shop in your store.
Some of the stores taking part in Red Bag Days are the Blue Denim Shop, Classic Iron Beds, The Spice and Tea Exchange, Pannullo’s Italian Restaurant, Luxury Trips and Things & Fashion. Basically, there will be something for every shopper. This is the third annual Red Bags Days which is sponsored by the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce, the City of Winter Park, Park Avenue Area Association, the Orlando Museum of Art Festival of Trees and Winter in the Park Skating Rink.
