Network with your business peers over breakfast

Good Morning Winter Park is a monthly breakfast networking event presented by the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce. It is held on the 2nd Friday of each month beginning at 7:45 am. It is free and open to the public; a continental breakfast is served to everyone.

Good Morning Winter Park features a different keynote speaker each month. It is an excellent opportunity to network with business peers and to learn something new about business in Winter Park. The next breakfast meeting will take place on June 8 with featured speaker Mayor Ken Bradley.

Networking is the perfect way to start off the business day; everyone is alert and eager and ready for breakfast. Breakfast and networking are usually from 7:45 to 8:16, which is plenty of time to meet some new contacts from Winter Park and to exchange a business card. Printing extra business cards before attending is definitely recommended as no one wants to run out. An early morning networking event will mean that you can follow up with those you meet the very same day.

One way to network at breakfast is for a business man or woman to convince those they are sitting with to give an “elevator pitch” to everyone at the table. An “elevator pitch” is a 30-60 second blurb which lays out exactly what the business does and how it can help others sitting at the table.

Attending regular networking meetings is a must and at the very least a business person should attend one a month; Good Morning Winter Park seems to be one that should not be missed.
