Monthly events continue in Orlando over the summer

Firstly, the August ‘What’s Up Downtown’ meeting will feature Barbara Hartley, the Executive Director of the Downtown Arts District, who will be giving a presentation about doing business in downtown Orlando.
What’s Up Downtown takes place in downtown Orlando early each month, and is presented by the Downtown Arts District and is aimed at publicizing the business assistance programs available to those planning on opening a business in the area. It also provides all the information that business owners need to know before they decide to open a store or a facility in Orlando.
The next What’s Up Downtown will take place on August 1 at the City Arts Factory, beginning at 8:30 am, and is free to attend.
A more social event that takes place on the second Thursday of every month is the Thornton Wine and Art Walk. It features musical entertainment, shopping opportunities, and, of course, plenty of wine to sample in several venues.
The August Wine and Art Walk will take place in the Thornton Park District on August 8 from 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm. Guests purchase a wristband for $10 and receive a wine glass.
Both of these events will likely draw visitors from all over, including nearby Winter Park. Organizers are bound to have worked with local print companies to design and print items such as flyers for use in their marketing campaign.
