South Florida Radiation Oncology of Port St. Lucie, Florida, just north of West Palm Beach , announced this week that it will be kicking off October by marking Breast Cancer Awareness month with an event titled “Fun, Feathers and Fashion” in St. Lucie County.

With this being the first time the event is taking place, it is planned to start at 6:00 pm and continue to 10:00 pm on Friday, October 5 at the Tradition Town Hall and Square. According to Dr. Mark Perman of the South Florida Radiation Oncology, the goal of the event is to keep the public informed and up-to-date with all the new information and options that are available for the early detection and treatment of cancer.

South Florida Radiation Oncology is no doubt using poster printing and flyer printing during the summer months so that the community can prepare for the event and to make the public aware that it will be free of charge to attend.

Marketing Coordinator of South Florida Radiation Oncology, Veronica Muniz, added that the event is also designed to help those who have been treated for, and are currently surviving from, breast cancer. The event will provide information about nutrition and exercise programs and various options for fashion while maintaining a fun environment. The fashion show will feature models who are survivors of breast cancer and there will also be booths with medical information, a cooking exhibition, food vendors, and demonstrations of make-up for patients currently undergoing chemotherapy.
