Two events will celebrate dance in Vero Beach

Two upcoming events in Vero Beach will celebrate dance in all of its forms, making the most of the good weather.

The 2nd annual Riverside Dance Festival is a showcase for those who have completed a two-week long intensive dance course with the Riverside Children’s Theatre. It will feature various types of dance by performers aged 10 and up.

The Benefit for Ballet Vero Beach, ‘First Steps’, is taking place the day after the dance festival. It will mainly feature dancers from the Prometheus Dance Company as well as Camilo A. Rodriguez, Natasha Grimm and Mathew Carter from Ballet Nebraska. Various types of dances will be performed, not just ballet. This event is a fundraiser and also marks the inaugural performance by Ballet Vero Beach, the community’s first ballet company. For those interested in getting to know the people behind it, the performance will be followed by a ‘meet the artists’ reception.

No doubt Vero Beach printing companies will be helping the organizers of both events prepare by providing such products as tickets, posters, and flyers for advertising.

The Riverside Dance Festival will take place on the Stark Stage at the Riverside Theatre on August 16 beginning at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for children.

The Benefit for Ballet Vero Beach will also take place on the Stark Stage on August 17 from 8:00 pm. Tickets range in price from $20 to $50. For more information about both of these events, call 772-231-6990.
