Finish your Christmas shopping at the Rotary flea market
December 6, 2011 by Mark
The flea market is one of the major fund raisers for the Rotary Club of Vero Beach; all money raised will be given to various local youth clubs such as the Girl Scouts, the Boy Scouts, Boys and Girls Club of America and Big Brothers/Big Sisters. These important organizations provide support, training and character building for the youth involved.
Vendors each pay $100 for a table and are allowed to park behind their table; they can also stay overnight in an RV in the lot across from the flea market area for free. Last year, the Rotary Club provided free breakfast for the vendors, it will more than likely happen this year also. The Rotary Club will also provide food and beverages for sale.
Vendors will most likely be selling such things as household items, jewellery, books, memorabilia, artworks and clothing. In order to draw attention to their table they could possibly invest in banner printing services; a colorful banner will be visible from anywhere in the park and should ensure they receive more visitors.
The Rotary Club states that its mission is “to work together to improve our community and contribute to the betterment of society.” By holding events such as this and investing in the young people of Vero Beach, they are well on their way to accomplishing this.
