Children’s events to help celebrate spring

The city of Vero Beach is hosting two events this April that will appeal to children of all ages, and both will celebrate the spring season.

The 55th annual Easter Egg Hunt is a popular local event presented by the Vero Beach Recreation Department. Children up to the age of nine is invited to take part. Everyone will receive a prize and those who find golden eggs will get an extra one.

In addition to the hunt, the Easter Bunny and the Easter Chick will drop by and children can have their faces painted. Adults are asked to bring a basket and six empty plastic eggs for each child participating.

The next event, taking place on the same day, is the 4th annual Fairy Festival. There will be a variety of children’s activities including face painting and building a fairy house. There may also be dancing around the Maypole like at last year’s event.

It is likely that organizers will be advertising both of these events throughout Vero Beach. This may include investing in services such as poster, sign, and flyer printing to help spread the word.

The Easter Egg Hunt is taking place at Mulligan’s Beach House on April 12 beginning at midnight. Participation is free. To find out more about the event, contact Patty Howard at 777-567-2144

The Fairy Festival, meanwhile, will be held at McKee Botanical Garden on April 12 from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm. Tickets are $10 each. For more information, call Kelly Susino at 772-794-0601.
