The 5th annual Caring for our Community Celebration will take place at the Wyndham Hotel on May 12 from 7-10 pm. Tickets are $100 each and proceed go to support Communication Access; dress is business casual to semi-formal. Sign language interpreters will be on hand.
Communication Access is an organization that’s mission is to “enhance the quality of life for people with hearing loss by providing coping strategies and solutions to communication barriers in their personal and professional relationships.” The organization hopes to help people live productive and independent lives regardless of their hearing problems.
The celebration will consist of dinner, live and silent auctions, entertainment and a comedy competition. The MC of the event is Bonnie Baumgardner. Local businesses will be donating the auction prizes which will include photo services, fitness training, artwork, baseball tickets and spa days. Sponsorships are available from $500 to $10,000; all sponsors have their company name displayed in a Powerpoint display at the event. Tampa business owners who choose to donate to the celebration can use this as a way to get the work out about their products and services while showing they care about the community. Printing companies can help them make their contributions better known by providing flyer printing services; the company can mail out a flyer to their customers only or they can hire a company to hand distribute the flyers which talks about the upcoming event and suggests ways that everyone can help this worthy organization.
