Celebrated tenor Andrea Bocelli to appear in Tampa

It was recently announced that world-famous operatic tenor Andrea Bocelli is slated to appear in Tampa this December, which will no doubt thrill local area fans of the accomplished singer.

Bocelli is on tour to promote his new album ‘Passione’. Upon its release, the album zoomed to No. 2 on the charts compiled by Billboard magazine. The singer is also touring to support a new PBS Great Performances special called ‘Love in Portofino’, which also debuts this month, and which features a selection of favorites inspired by the gorgeous scenery in and around the Italian city.

Passione is a collection of love songs with a Mediterranean flavor, some featuring duets with pop stars like Jennifer Lopez. Perhaps the most intriguing track on the album is Bocelli’s duet with the legendary French chanteuse, Edith Piaf, who died in 1963. Bocelli has somehow managed to blend his version of the song with her original, which was her signature piece.

Bocelli will be accompanied by the Opera Tampa Orchestra and Chorus, and the concert is slated for the Tampa Bay Times Forum, a sports arena that is also used for this type of performance. Ticket prices are not yet known, but those interested in the concert can check with the Straz Center Ticket Office (813) 229-7827, or visit the Opera Tampa website for details of Bocelli’s December 14 appearance.

In preparation for these kinds of shows, concert promoters can work with poster printing experts to create publicity materials for display well before the performance date.
