Visit the Woodstock Arts and Crafts Festival

The 2011 Woodstock Arts and Crafts Festival will be held the weekend of December 3-4 at Welleby Park in Sunrise; this yearly event has been held since 1980. The festival will run from 9 am-5 pm on Saturday and from 9 am-4pm on Sunday; admission is $5 or 6 cans of food for the local food bank, children under 12 are admitted free. The festival is almost completely run by volunteers and all profits go to local charities.

The weekend event will feature approximately 200 exhibitors, several community service booths and international food vendors. Local brochure printers in Sunrise will no doubt provide those community service booth with the literature needed to promote their organizations. Spreading the word is important for these organizations and where better to promote their work at a festival which draws people from all over the area.

The Woodstock Arts and Crafts Festival will have several arts and crafts displays, plants, and nursery areas. Strolling musicians and other entertainers will keep those in attendance entertained, there will be lots of food, and you can get your picture taken with Santa Claus. The type of items which will be offered for sale include jewelery, food products, footwear, puzzles and games, wind chimes, signs and even ear muffs.

The festival will be a great place to start your Christmas shopping. The merchandise offered for sale will be one-of-a-kind items and you are sure to find something to appeal to everyone’s tastes.
