Sunrise Cultural Festival the key to communities
October 31, 2012 by Sarah
The 4th annual Sunrise Cultural Festival will take place at City Park and will be a free way to find some enjoyment in the area this weekend.
The festival celebrates the variety of cultures that reside in the Sunrise area. It will be a great opportunity to discover the many differences and similarities between these cultures, with plenty of children’s activities and rides, all kinds of ethnic foods, musical entertainment, dance performances, and food and retail vendors helping to keep things flowing. This family-friendly event will allow people to get to know their neighbors better and will probably help to dispel any false impressions they often have about each other.
Food vendors can rent a 10 x 10 booth for $100 and commercial vendors can rent booth of the same size for $75. The types of items that will probably be for sale will include arts and crafts, clothing, furniture, health and fitness products, jewelry, books, records, and home decor. There will also no doubt be some items that are representative of various ethnic groups who live in the community. It may also give those who are thinking about it ideas on what to buy their loved ones for the holidays.
Sponsorships are also available for the event from $250 to $1,000. The $1,000 level is for an entertainment sponsor that will see its company logo printed on an on-stage banner and receive recognition during the event. No doubt, the banners will be provided by Sunrise printing companies. Banners are useful at events like this, as they are relatively inexpensive to produce and can be reused as often as necessary.
The festival takes place this Saturday, November 3 from 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm. For more information, call 954-747-4600.
