Discover local artisans and do some holiday shopping in Sunrise

With the holidays quickly approaching, many people are stuck on what to buy their friends or family members for Christmas. They want to make sure the gift is something the person would want and most would like that gift to be an original one that cannot be purchased anywhere else. Local arts and crafts shows are usually an excellent opportunity to find that perfect gift.

The Woodstock Arts and Crafts Festival features several arts and crafts vendors, plant and nursery suppliers, public service organizations, and local businesses. There will also be strolling entertainers and photos with Santa Claus. The arts and crafts vendors must be approved by organizers so consumers know they will be top-quality, handmade works of art. This will make it easier to find the perfect gift for a loved one. It will also give consumers a chance to discover a new artisan from whom they might consider buying in the future.

Vendors can rent space but must provide their own tables, chairs and tents. Arts and crafts vendors can rent for $325, corporate vendors can rent for $556.50 and non-profit organizations can rent for $100. Many of them will no doubt be using such services as sign or banner printing from Sunrise printing companies to draw attention to their booths.

The 32nd Woodstock Arts and Crafts Festival will take place in Welleby Park on December 1 and 2. Admission is $5 for adults or the donation of six cans of non-perishable food. Children aged 12 and under are admitted for free.
