Pompano Beach shells out for the New Year
December 23, 2012 by Mark
A natural item that appeals to many people is seashells, people love to collect seashells when they go to the beach and a percentage of those people create artwork, jewelry, and other products from those shells.
The Broward Shell Show, presented by the Broward Shell Club, will feature thousands of shells on display – some of which will be competitive displays. Crafts made from shells will be for sale and there will be demonstrations of crafts, an International Shell Market, a raffle fund raiser, and door prizes. In addition, there will be a shell identification clinic and art demonstrations.
It should be a great place to find unique gifts for friends and family, plus a great way to learn about shells, to possibly start a new collection, and to meet those who have similar interests. Organizers will no doubt be working with Pompano Beach printing companies to help advertise this show to the general community. A flyer can be produced that can be distributed through mail or posted in various public building throughout the city. Flyers are amongst the most effective forms of marketing and one of the most inexpensive.
Shells are a free souvenir that can help remind a person of a special holiday or can begin a lifelong interest in collecting. There is definitely a large number of people who are interested in shells in the United States.
The 48th annual Broward Shell Show will take place at the Emma Lou Olson Civic Center from January 19 – 20. Admission is free. For more information call 305-467-4412.
