The National Night Out Against Crime will take place at Pompano Beach City Hall on August 7 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Admission is free and will feature food, refreshments, giveaways, and entertainment.
National Night Out Against Crime has been celebrated for 29 years. It takes place in over 15,000 communities throughout the United States and Canada. The aim of the event is to promote awareness of crime and drug prevention programs, to support local anti-crime programs, and to help raise the spirit of the neighborhood. Pompano Beach printing companies will probably be helping to provide informative literature on the various anti-crime programs that exist. For example, brochure printing is relatively inexpensive and any community organization can afford to design a brochure, a booklet, or even a flyer which serves to educate the public on what they do and how they can help prevent crime.
Events such as this help to give residents and understanding of crime and how to take care of themselves effectively. They connect people with services that can help them to feel more secure and also give them the opportunity to get directly involved with programs that help to lessen the crime rate. The main focus is that people should not be afraid to leave their houses at night and should feel confident when going for a walk no matter what time it might be. The National Night Out Against Crime lets people announce that they are not going to let crime overtake their neighborhoods.
