Monthly event highlights area arts

Fans of the arts will be pleased to know that MLK Arts on the Boulevard is taking place on the second Saturday of every month right up until May. It is a presentation of the Creative Arts District Pompano Beach.

There is plenty for visitors to see and do during the afternoon. Visitors can purchase barbecued food and desserts while also enjoying live music, art projects for both adults and children, and performances from Ashanti Cultural Arts in which they can participate.

Of course, the main draw is the art, and vendors will be selling their arts and crafts. Items for sale will no doubt include paintings, prints, ceramics, homemade jewelry, pottery and even handmade clothing.

Many of the Pompano Beach based vendors taking part in this monthly event may decide to seek postcard printing services. They can use a postcard as a form of business card by providing a sample of their works on the front of the card with contact information on the opposite site Cards can then be handed out free during the event or placed in the bags of those who purchase items.

The next MLK Arts on the Boulevard will take place in and around Annie Adderly Gillis Park on March 8 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm. More info can be found Shanna Benson at 954-786-7824.
