Gobble up Turkey and go nuts for Brazil in Pompano Beach
October 7, 2012 by Sarah
There will be two cultural events happening during the month of November in Pompano Beach. Home to several ethnic groups, the area will be celebrating Turkish and Brazilian culture. The organizers of both events are no doubt working with Pompano Beach printing companies to prepare for these events and to advertise them to the general public.
The first event taking place in November will be the Turkish Festival at the Civic Center on November 17 from 11:00 am – 7:00 pm, where admission is free. The theme of the festival is ‘Aegean Treasures’ and it will feature Turkish music, folk dancing, belly dancing, and art displays. There will be children’s activities such as face painting and balloons, Turkish food for purchase, arts and crafts for purchase, paper-marbling demonstrations, and fortune tellers. This should be a great introduction to the culture of Turkey. For more information, call 954-732-1076.
Continuing the global theme, the next event will take place at the Pompano Beach Amphitheatre and Community Park on November 24. The Brazilian Celebration – Show de Fim de Ano TV special will be filmed by TV Record USA, beginning at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $15 for this event and 305-347-5131 is the number to call to find out more.
There will also be several free events taking place during the day that will celebrate Brazilian culture, an exhibitor`s zone for small businesses that promote travel and tourism to Brazil, and some great Brazilian food. There will also be a fair, featuring Brazilian music, dance, and entertainment.
