January 19, 2012 by Sarah
The Greenmarket Pompano Beach is now in its 9th year. The market takes place every Saturday from 8 am- 1 pm at Flagler Avenue and NE First Street from October to the end of April. It’s presented by the Pompano Beach Historical Society and the Pompano Beach Community Redevelopment Agency.
The Greenmarket offers such things as fruits and vegetables, meat and poultry, dairy products, candy, juices, flowers, plants, art work, books, historical photographs for sale. There are also health-related products and services which will be of interest to the public. In addition, there is live musical entertainment, art shows, antique car shows, environmental exhibits and walking tours of downtown. Vendors are expected to offer unique and high quality items; not mass produced; Vendors must commit to two Saturdays and pay $25 each day to rent a 10×10 foot space.
Pompano Beach printing companies have no doubt been busy creating banners, posters and flyers to advertise this popular weekly market. They will also have been busy printing informational literature for the various health-related and environmental exhibits. These things are relatively inexpensive and very effective. Those who attend the market will take home a brochure or flyer and a friend or family member will find out about the event and the companies represented.
The Greenmarket Pompano Beach is a great place to pick up your weekly fresh fruits, meats and vegetables. You can be guaranteed that they are local to the area and that you will be buying the freshest produce available. You will also have the chance to purchase items created by local artists.
