The 28th annual Pompano Beach Seafood Festival will take place at Pompano Fishing Pier during the weekend of April 20-22. Admission is $10 for Friday the 20th and $12 each day for Saturday and Sunday; children under 10 are admitted free. A free trolley will take guests from the parking lot to the pier. Proceeds from the event go toward supporting various Pompano Beach community groups such as schools and children’s welfare organizations; donations are overseen by the Greater Pompano Beach Chamber of Commerce Charities Advisory Council.
The Seafood Festival usually draws over 30,000 visitors annually. In addition to delicious seafood and other food, the festival will feature live musical entertainment, a children’s area and many vendors. The children’s area, Pompano Jack’s Fun Zone, will feature games, a rock climbing wall, bounce houses, face painting and bungee jumping.
The vendor’s area is called Boardwalk Bazaar and will feature items such as arts, crafts, clothing, toys, jewelry and exhibits from local businesses. The rental of a 10×10’ booth is $325 for members of the Greater Pompano Beach Chamber of Commerce and $375 for non-members. Since all of the vendors’ booth will look alike, it is up to the vendor themselves to draw the public to them.
Banner printing services can help vendor’s to spruce up their booths with a colorful banner that will draw visitors to them. The key to success is that once they have that person at their booth, they must deliver what the banner promised; providing good quality products will not make the person feel like they wasted their time fighting the crowds to get to the booth.
