Enjoy a unique Halloween horse show

September 7, 2012 by

The Halloween Horse Show and Fair will take place just before the spooky night itself at Sands and Spurs Equestrian Park. Admission is $1 or free for those under 12. Proceeds go towards the Bit-by-Bit Therapeutic Riding Center and Horses for Heroes Veteran Rehabilitation Program.

In addition to a horse show put on by the special-needs children who use the program, there will be a fun half-time show, a costume contest for people and horses, pony rides, hay rides, bounce houses, Halloween related games, a pumpkin patch, food and drink, and vendors booths. For more information on the event, or to become a vendor, call 954-786-4507.

The vendor booths that are set up will, in all likelihood, be related to horses or to special needs organizations. Pompano Beach printing companies are very likely to be providing flyer printing and brochure printing services to those vendors.

The Bit-by-Bit Therapeutic Riding Center is located in Fort Lauderdale and provides services to children and adults with a variety of mobility and mental conditions. The goal of the center is to promote health and independence for these special needs individuals. The center depends on public donations which help provide scholarships for those who cannot pay for the parts of the program that are not covered by health insurance. The center also provides riding lessons for the general public and The Horses for Heroes program is a new one of these, which provides free therapeutic riding lessons to disabled or battle-scarred veterans.

The show will take place on October 20 from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm.
