Upcoming banquet honors the men and women of the military
February 27, 2014 by Mark
The 16th annual Military Appreciation Banquet, presented by the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce, is taking place next week.
The event pays tribute to the men and women who serve in the various branches of the United States military. Guests will enjoy a cocktail reception, dinner, and an awards ceremony.
The keynote speaker for the event will be Vice Admiral Mark I. Fox from United States Central Command. This will be followed by the handing out of awards in several categories, including Officer of the Year for each branch of the military, Business Partner of the Year, and the Military Affairs Council Bob Cutler Volunteer Award. The winner of the JROTC essay contest will also be announced.
In addition to honoring military members, this event should also be a networking opportunity for local business owners who will likely come from all over the area, including nearby Plant City. Local stationery printers may find that they will be getting some extra business card printing orders in advance of the banquet.
The Military Appreciation Banquet will be held at the Tampa Convention Center on March 4 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Tickets are $85 each and corporate tables of 10 are available for $900. Recommended attire is mess dress for military personnel and black tie for non-military. For more information, call 813-228-777.
