Celebrate YMCA Strong Kids

The YMCA Strong Leader Award dinner will take place at the Red Rose Inn and Suites on August 28 beginning at 6:30 pm. Tickets are $75 individually or $1,000 for a sponsor table of eight. All proceeds go towards the YMCA Strong Kids campaign.

The campaign raises fund for the various YMCA programs which are aimed at making children healthier and more productive in life. This year’s award nominee is David Miller, who is on the board of directors of the Plant City Food Bank and has led fundraising campaigns for the YMCA.

The event will begin with cocktails at 6:30 pm, dinner will follow at 7:00 pm, and the program will begin at 8:00 pm. In addition to celebrating Mr. Miller and the YMCA Strong Kids campaign, there will also be time for networking. It will be a good opportunity for those interested in youth to partner with other companies who have similar interests, possibly coming up with more fundraising ideas for the organization. It would be smart of those attending to make sure they bring along a business card or two to distribute.

Sponsors of the event are likely to get a mention in the program booklet as well as having a sign on their table of eight. Plant City brochure printers will no doubt be providing those program booklets to the organizers of the awards dinner.

The YMCA is a vital organization in many cities. It strives to make sure the population is healthier and offers programs that can help to improve the community. That makes the award dinner a very worthwhile event to attend.
