Celebrate spring in Gulfport
March 23, 2012 by Sarah
Gulfport Springfest 2012 will take place in St. Petersburg on March 31 from 10am – 8pm. This is the 18th year this event has taken place and it’s presented by the City of Gulfport, the Gabbler News, and the Gulfport Merchant’s Association. It is a free event with free parking and free trolley rights along Beach Boulevard.
There will be two stages set up featuring musical acts such as the Turley Brothers, Gabe Whitney and the Paul Anthony Band. The event will feature lots of children’s activities such as bounce houses, bungee jumping, Zippy Pets, face painting, and corn hole games. There will also be several vendors selling items such as flowers, herbs, garden art, outdoor décor, Easter baskets, fabric art, and screenprinting. In addition, several booths will be offering gardening tips or showcasing community organizations.
At 5pm, there will be an Easter Bonnet Parade which is open to all. There will later be a contest at the south stage
“with prizes given for largest and most unique hats.”
Sponsorships are available from $100 to $10,000. For $100 a company can be a local booth sponsor providing them with a 10×10 table for a corporate display or promotion. This is a very inexpensive way for companies from all over the area, including Plant City, to showcase their products or services and to help make their name known in the community. Printing companies can provide them with all the marketing material they need for this such as brochure printing and business cards.
