There will be king and double-bed apartments among the 297 rooms, and all rooms will be provided with coffee makers, Wi-Fi, ironing facilities, and refrigerators. There will be a full delicatessen and the hotel will be link to YMCA Aquatic Center, so guests will have access to a fitness center, indoor pools, and racquetball courts during all its hours of operation.
A Metropolitan Resort already exists at the location where the Econo Lodge is to be built and will be completely renovated, with work to begin in June 2013. The renovated hotel is located next to the ‘iDrive Live’ Project, which is a facility of mixed use that contains various retail establishments, restaurants, places of entertainment, and other hotels, as well as the Orlando Eye Ferris Wheel that measures 400 feet in height.
Guests of the Econo Lodge will also have access to the free iShuttle service which will enable them to take in the many other attractions of International Drive.
