Security conference comes to Orlando

September 7, 2016 by

The Orange County Convention Center in Orlando will be hosting the ASIS International conference for 2016.

This conference is designed for security professionals to learn about innovative technologies in their field, and to network and make connections so as to meet challenges, mitigate the risk of data loss, and improve employee safety and facility security.

Speaking at the conference will be Jeh C. Johnson, Secretary for the United States Department of Homeland Security, and James B. Comey, FBI Director. Comey will address issues of cybersecurity and combatting cybercrime, and both speakers will focus on the importance of collaboration with the private sector.

Educational offerings will enable attendees to learn about innovative concepts, practical insights, and strategies to address a full range of security issues. Some of the topics to be covered will include cloud and healthcare security, crime and loss prevention, forensics, and mobile security and management. Most likely, a detailed listing of all the sessions will be available in brochures so that attendees can plan which sessions they want to attend and when.

During the convention, a large exhibit hall will feature hundreds of vendors showcasing their products and services. Vendors will also be giving demonstrations of their products on the floor of the show throughout the conference.

ASIS International will run from September 12 through September 15.
