Salon announces new Orlando set-up

iStudio Salons recently announced that it has opened another salon in Orlando in Waterford Lakes, bringing the total number of its studios to six in Florida and seven across the nation. iStudio Salons is most likely using a variety of printing services to make the public and beauty professionals aware of its unique concept in the operation of salons.

According to the co-founder of iStudio Salons, Mark Abbett, each salon is composed of between 18 and 30 fully furnished mini-salons, which can be leased by independent nail technicians, hair stylists, massage therapists, and estheticians. These beauty professionals can then set whatever hours they want, sell the products of their choosing, and then keep all the money that they earn.

The company claims that stylists in the area are finding that this arrangement enables them to customize their d├ęcor, is very convenient, and provides a camaraderie unlike that found in more customary salons, according to a press release from earlier this month.

James Schregardus, co-founder and President of iStudio Salons, added that he believes this model of running a salon enables beauty professionals to run their own businesses and not have to be concerned about the risks, difficulties, and expenses involved with the more traditional way of owning a salon.

He went on to says that iStudio Salons provides an environment in which beauty professionals can still be their own boss in a less stressful atmosphere, and that the location at Waterford Lakes is a particularly good one as it has very convenient parking and is in a busy retail location.
