New cloud strategy unveiled by SAP

At the SAPPHIRE® NOW show that was held from May 14th – 16th in Orlando, Florida, SAP AG announced new cloud solutions across four areas of business that will help to manage money, people, customers, and suppliers. SAP is no doubt using flyer printing and poster printing to make its current and potential customers aware of these new products so as to increase its business in these areas.

This new strategy for cloud computing leverages the market strengths of SuccessFactors; a company which SAP purchased in February 2012 who are among the world’s fastest providers of cloud computing. According to the Director of HR Processes at Under Armour, Troy Barnett, the process and industry expertise of SAP, together with the cloud applications that SuccessFactors provides, will harness and streamline the strengths of what each company brings to the table. Barnett anticipates that this combination will achieve great results.

According to SAP Executive Board Member and CEO Lars Dalgaard, SAP customers will receive the best-in-class business functionality with a high level of reliable security in the cloud, integration among cloud solutions, and high quality applications that are innovative and creative.

SAP has formed a new business unit for cloud computing as a result of the acquisition and strategy. More than 5,000 people are in this unit and their job is to design, deliver, and build cloud solutions to more than 17 million users. The solutions will be best-of-breed applications which are loosely-coupled together and from which customers will have the flexibility to choose those applications that are best suited to their needs.
