Golf Classic fills a hole in Orlando

The Leadership Winter Park Golf Classic tournament is taking place it just under a week’s time.

Spring is here and golf season is beginning in earnest all over the country, with nowhere better to tee off than right here in Florida. The LWP Golf Classic is a fundraiser for the Leadership Winter Park Scholarship Fund and the BETA Center, the latter of which offers services to at-risk families and teen mothers.

Fees to take part in the golf tournament will cover golf play, a box lunch, and an Alumni social dinner. There will be a shotgun start and a Helicopter Ball Drop contest too. Players buy tickets with numbers on them, and golf balls with those numbers are dropped onto the 18th green and the ones closest to the pin win $500 for 1st place and $250 for 2nd place.

Businesses taking part in the Golf Classic might consider working with local print companies to help advertise their participation. They can design and create a flyer that can be distributed through direct mail to their current customers. Business card printing in advance will also be a good way to do some lighthearted networking on the course.

The LWP Golf Classic will take place at Dubsdread Golf Course in Orlando on April 19 from 10:00 am – 7:00 pm. Fees are $100 per player or $400 for a foursome, while tickets for the Alumni Social only are $20 each. Sponsorships are also available from $350 to $1,500, and tickets for the Helicopter Ball Drop contest are $10 each or $20 for three.
