Annual flower fest comes to Orlando
March 17, 2013 by Mark
The 20th Annual Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival, perhaps America’s largest floral festival, began in Orlando earlier this month and runs until the middle of May. No doubt flyer printing and poster printing are being used to attract visitors to this festival from both with the state of Florida and from around the country.
The Festival is sponsored by HGTV, which will have a complimentary guide to outlines all the new features at this year’s event, including certain items that carry a “TRY it!” label to encourage families to taste new foods, see new attractions, and enjoy each other’s company.
One of the new additions is topiaries of Disney characters such as Mickey and his friends and the cast of Monsters, Inc., together with Disney-Pixar characters such as Phineas and Ferb. A special Garden Marketplace will offer gourmet culinary specialties and beverages that have been inspired by the world marketplace. Selected topiaries and gardens will be lit up in the evening hours in the Illuminated Gardens as a magical way to end the day at the Festival. Also on the list of events are ‘Flower Power’ concerts, which will be live performances of those artists who were hit makers during the 1960s and 1970s.
Finally, inspired by ‘Oz the Great and Powerful’, a new Disney film called ‘The Land of Oz’ will be featured, as a new garden and play area for children that showcases the Evos and Cozy Domes play systems to exercise the body and stretch the imagination.
