Take part in a tradition in Ocoee
February 27, 2013 by Mark
Lent has begun and residents of Ocoee can look forward to celebrating the Easter Eggstravaganza next month. Easter eggs are a big part of the holiday for children and most of them like nothing more than to take part in an egg hunt, like the one coming up in Ocoee.
This annual event features many fun events suitable for the entire family. The main event is, of course, the Easter egg hunt which is for children aged from 1 to 12 years of age. In addition, there will be lots of prizes, arts and crafts activities, inflatables such as bounce houses, delicious food, refreshments, and clowns. Children can also have their pictures taken with the Easter Bunny.
In addition, there will be an Easter Coloring Contest taking place in advance of the event; families can download the pictures to be colored from the Parks and Recreation Department’s website. The completed pictures must be delivered to the department by March 29 and the winners will be announced at the Eggstravaganza. This event sounds like a great way to kick off Easter for the children.
This event is a popular one around Ocoee and no doubt the department is busy with flyer printing in advance. Flyers will likely be sent out to everyone in the community or will be posted at various public buildings.
The Easter Eggstravaganza will take place at the Jim Beech Center on March 30 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. This is a free event. For more information, contact the Parks and Recreation Department at 407-905-3180.
