North Miami Beach marks National Senior Health and Fitness Day with fair

April 27, 2013 by

Each year, the last Wednesday of May is declared as National Senior Health and Fitness Day in the United States, and communities throughout the country hold events and celebrations to acknowledge it. This year, the Greater North Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce is presenting a Health and Wellness Fair on the day.

The fair, aimed at those aged 55 and over, will feature free health screenings, health and fitness demonstrations, giveaways, raffles, and informative literature. It will be an excellent opportunity for seniors in the area to learn how they can live healthier and longer lives, and to find out what services are available to them in the area. All of the activities at the fair fit in with the theme of this year’s National Senior Health and Fitness Day, which is “think healthy, eat healthy, act healthy … be healthy.”

No doubt local health organizations will be attending the fair, and many of them are likely to be arranging with North Miami Beach printing companies to design and print products such as brochures and flyers. These can then be handed out to anyone who wants to have more information about a product or a service, while business card printing could help locals to remember the services available.

This year’s Health and Wellness Fair will take place at the McDonald Center on May 29 from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm, and admission is free. For more information, contact 305-944-8500.
