Learn how to use Facebook effectively

The Greater North Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce is presenting the seminar “Facebook for beginners: effectively using Facebook for your business” at the McDonald Center, Room 1 on June 5th from 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm. Tickets are free for Chamber members and $20 for non-members.

The seminar will be presented by Trisha Price of Rumblesmith. All attendees are encouraged to bring their own laptop computers with them. Those who attend will learn how to effectively market their business on Facebook and the event can also be used as a networking opportunity. Social media is becoming more and more important to businesses; sites like LinkedIn and Facebook are often the first place people look for information on a company. Social media sites also give businesses the opportunity to create a relationship between themselves and their customers. Most successful companies have set up a Facebook page, often offering money-saving coupons and even free samples. They also offer a chance for customers to voice their opinions on a variety of topics related to the business. Some businesses have welcomed negative comments from unsatisfied customers so that they can show everyone how they will fix it for that customer. Companies can even set up events. If they have a special sale coming up they can notify everyone who has “liked” their page quickly. Those who say they are attending the event can then be offered a special code to save them even more money or to get preferential treatment on the day of the sale. There are many possibilities.
