Get ready for the Pirate Ball

The 8th annual Yabba Island Pirate Ball will take place at the Yabba Island Grill on April 25 beginning at 6 pm. Tickets are $350 which includes everything but a treasure chest or $500 which gives you a treasure chest; treasure chests are $150 each. Pirate costume is recommended. All proceeds go towards supporting the Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples.

The Pirate Ball will feature a cocktail reception, a multi-course dinner, wine, silent and live auctions and treasure chests; each treasure chest is purchased separately and contains a prize inside. Sponsorships are available and local companies will be donating items for the auctions.

Taking part in such events will give any company a higher standing in the community; many people will make a point of shopping at companies who help raise money for local charities. It is a relatively inexpensive way to market a business. To let Naples residents know a business is contributing to the Pirate Ball, one way could be to arrange for flyer printing, which could be mailed out to current and future customers. This not only tells them a firm has donated items or money to the event but it also draws more attention to the event and might get more people to visit too.

Money raised by the Pirate Ball goes to a very worthy organization. The Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples celebrates

“the natural curiosity of children by offering an educational dynamic space that encourages exploration and discovery.”

Too many children are said to spend too much time in from of the television or the gaming console; the museum provides them with alternative and more worthy choices of spending their time.
