Enjoy the Bayshore Festival of the Arts

January 15, 2012 by

The Bayshore Festival of the Arts will take place at Sugden Regional Park on January 28-29 from 11-6 pm each day. It is a free event presented by the Bayshore Cultural and Performing Arts Center although donations to the Center would be appreciated. Those attending are advised to bring their own chair or blankets. Parking is $5.

The festival consists of various high school color guards, choruses, jazz bands, Irish bands and dancers and concert bands performing on two stages; all in all more than 250 performers. Performers will include Casey Weston, the Seacrest High School Chorus, the Band of the United States Air Force from Warner Robins Air Force Base in Georgia, Paradise Coastmen Barbershop Chorus, the Naples Klezmer Revival Band, the Dan Miller-Lew Del Gatto Quintett, the Rebecca Richardson Quartet and the Naples Concert Band. Basically there will be a musical group or performer who will appeal to everyone in the family. There will also be a Festival art show of juried artists and various food vendors.

Naples printing companies will not doubt be helping festival organizers get ready for this yearly event with advertising products such as banners, flyers and posters. While local residents are probably aware of the festival, many visitors will not be and the word must be spread. Organizers are also looking for sponsors for the event. Sponsoring such an event will get a business’s name out to the general public and will more than likely bring some business in the future.
