Miami’s second annual Holistic Health Fund’s Holistic Health Walk and Expo will be held during the weekend at Tropical Park Stadium.
The event is used to raise money for the Holistic Health Fund, a non-profit fund founded to making holistic health care available to those with few financial resources. Additionally, it provides money for education about health.
Started by Isis Martinez, a holistic healer, the fund seeks to help people access and afford such health treatments. The cost to participate in the walk and attend the expo is $10 per person, and special activities aimed at children will be found at the Healthy Families KidZone. Additionally, there will be live music and hourly raffles included as part of the admission fee.
Registration starts at 7:30 am tomorrow, May 19. The expo begins at 9:00 am walkers get into their stride at 9:30 am, and the event continues until the closing ceremonies at 4:00 pm. In addition to the walk, there will be more than 100 exhibitions focusing on the body, mind, spirit, and environment. Information will be available from professionals about reflexology, spirituality, massage, acupuncture, and sound therapy.
After the walk clinics and presentations on a variety of subjects will be available, including yoga, breathwork, organic and gluten-free diets, and the law of attraction. With so much to see and learn about, one can only hope that the Holistic Health Fund will offer catalog printing to lay out all the holistic disciplines featured at the expo.
