Oviedo shows its good taste
February 4, 2013 by James
The 19th annual Taste of Oviedo is coming up again and will no doubt draw visitors from all over the area. The event, which is presented by the local chamber of commerce, is invariably a popular one.
The Taste of Oviedo features some of the best local agriculture, while also helping to highlight local stores and regional businesses. It also features children’s activities, live entertainment on two stages, fireworks, and the Citrus and Celery Cook-off. It sounds like a great way for the public to be introduced to new companies and to discover a new artist in their midst. There will be activities that should appeal to every member of the family.
Vendors from all over the region can apply to take part in the event. Commercial booths are $200 for chamber members and $350 for non-members, while Arts and Crafts booths are available for $100 for members and $150 for non-members. Many of these vendors will likely come from places such as nearby Longwood, and it is a great opportunity for them to introduce their company or arts and crafts to the larger community and to help take their business to the next level of success. Many of them will be working with local printing companies to prepare – a banner, for example, would help draw attention to a booth.
The Taste of Oviedo will take place at Oviedo Mall on March 9 from 11:00 am – 7:00 pm. Admission is free. For more information, call Bridget Lake at 407-278-4871.
