Enjoy a night of dancing in Heathrow
March 23, 2012 by Mark
Noche de Flamenco, the fund raising gala of the Heathrow Women’s Club Charities Inc will take place at the Heathrow Country Club on March 31, beginning at 6:30pm. Tickets are $100; cocktail attire is mandatory.
The evening will feature a cocktail reception with dinner, a cash bar, dancing, and a silent auction. There will also be a performance by the Flamenco Del Sol Dance Company. All proceeds from the event will go to support the the Safehouse of Seminole Daycare/After School Program, Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida, the New Directions Scholarship program at Seminole State College, and the Seminole County Friends of Abused Children.
This wonderful event will go a long way towards helping those organizations that work with children in the area. Companies from the area, such as from Longwood, will be donating items for the silent auction. They will also likely be publicizing that fact and the event itself in their next flyer printing order. The flyers can then be mailed out to current and potential customers in the area, they can be handed out on street corners or they can be hand delivered. Either way, the company gets community support for supporting such worthy charities, the event might draw more interested people and therefore raise more money. There is also the chance that the company will have found a new customer base.
A company really has nothing to lose, and a lot to gain, from donating items to silent or live auctions for charity.
