Chance to be a pirate at Central Florida Zoo
July 11, 2013 by Mark
Black Tie on the Wild Side is presenting ‘Pirates of the Zooribbean’ this August. The event is a fundraiser for the Central Florida Zoo and Botanic Gardens in Sanford.
Guests are encouraged to dress up as pirates to enjoy this fun evening, but formal dress will also be accepted. The night will feature live and silent auctions, live entertainment, dinner, and an open bar. It promises to be a fun and entertaining way to spend the event and to raise funds for a very worthwhile organization.
Children can also enjoy the Pirates of the Zooribbean summer day camp. Children between the ages of six and eight get to dress like pirates, draw maps, go on treasure hunts, and discover all sorts of animals.
No doubt local businesses will be donating items to the auctions, which will probably include prizes such as gift cards, travel packages, and animal-related items. Many of those who are donating items might want to let their customers from the area and nearby cities such as Longwood know about their participation. This might include designing and printing flyers with the help of local print companies, which can be inserted in company mailings.
Pirates of the Zooribbean will take place at the Westin Lake Mary in Sanford on August 17 from 6:00 pm – 11:00 pm. Tickets are $150 each and tables are also available. More information about the event or about the summer camp can be learned by calling 407-323-4450.
