Celebrate the season in Longwood

November 22, 2011 by

The Celebrate the Season and Annual Tree Lighting will take place on December 3 in front of Longwood City Hall; this heralds in the start of the Christmas season and a time when every city has a Christmas (or Holiday) tree and the city streets become a magical lit-up wonderland for children of all ages.

There will be lots of free family-friendly activities to take part in at Celebrate the Season. Santa will arrive at 3:30 pm, there will be crafts for kids to make and children can have their pictures taken with Santa Claus. There will be food for sale at booths, music and dancing demonstrations. The musical performers who will be performing at Celebrate the Season are the Woodlands Elementary Chorus, the Choices in Learning Chorus, the Lyman Chorus and Orlando Harmony; most likely they will be singing all the Christmas carols we have come to enjoy and only hear at this time of year. There will also be a performance by the Showtime Dance Studio. The tree lighting will take place at 6:30 pm.

The event was advertised with a colorful flyer. Printing companies in Longwood most likely provided this flyer at a very low cost. Flyers are the most economical way of advertising there is. They can be handed out on street corners, stacked on store counters or sent out by direct mail. Whichever way they are sent, they usually are eye-catching and they are designed to save money in marketing and advertising.
