Altamonte Springs’ Independence Day celebration turns 18

June 15, 2013 by

The City of Altamonte Springs’ ‘Red, Hot & Boom’ celebration takes place the day before the official Independence Day holiday. This gives everyone the chance to kick off the long weekend in style with good entertainment and to participate in a lot of activities which will appeal to every member of the family. Over 5,000 people attended last year’s celebration and it is likely the numbers will be even higher this year.

There will be plenty to do during the celebration for everyone. Performing in concert will be several local and nationally known performers, such as the Jonas Brothers, Melissa Gorga, Hot Chelle Rae, Stefano, and Nikki Williams. The winner of radio station XL106.7’s ‘Next Big Thing’ contest will also be performing.

Aside from all the musical acts, there will also be a variety of children’s activities, food and drink for purchase, commercial vendors, and a 25-minute fireworks display at the end of the day – all adding up to a suitable way to celebrate the birthday of the country.

Visitors will likely want to attend this celebration from all over the area, including nearby Longwood. Vendors who wish to take part are probably investing in such services as sign, banner or postcard printing to help make their booths attractive to passers-by.

‘Red, Hot & Boom’ will be held at Cranes Roost Park in Altamonte Springs on July 3 from 4:00 pm – 11:00 pm. Admission is free. For the latest information on the celebration, visit the event’s Facebook page.
