West Bay Drive to be host of sidewalk sale

Due to the efforts of Tanya Pistillo, a sidewalk sale extravaganza will be taking place this weekend – just in time for Mother’s Day, along the north side of West Bay Drive in Largo from the Feed Store to Marcotte’s Architectural Salvage.

According to Jenni Martin, co-owner of Marcotte’s, who is also helping Pistillo to organize the proceedings, this is the first event of its kind in the town and she is hoping that it will help to increase traffic to the area for a long time to come. Pistillo has also invited additional vendors who have fresh market produce to sell and expects them to be at the event as well.

In addition to the vendors, there will be food available (including the PAO food truck), together with art, music, entertainment, and various other fun activities. Pistillo hopes that, as a result of the event, sales will continue throughout the summer so that people can see what she and other businesses are trying to do with the area. She is also hoping that the idea will make the community more aware of what is going on in the area and the fact that local businesses are trying to make great efforts towards involving the community – something that could be aided through flyer printing services provided by a local print company.

She added that it should be a place that will attract people rather than put them off. It takes place this Saturday and Sunday, May 11 and 12.
