Kissimmee to reward its brightest businesses
December 5, 2012 by James
We have once again reached that time of year when many business professionals are looking back to the past year and looking forward to the upcoming year in business. Tomorrow, the Osceola Business Awards will be presented by the Small Business Council of the Kissimmee/Osceola County Chamber of Commerce. Every December, three awards are handed out to Chamber membership-holding businesses.
It is well-documented that these are not the easiest of times financials, but many small businesses are thriving and hopeful about what 2013 will bring. Events like this are one way in which the business community looks back over the year and celebrates the best in the community.
The awards given out are New Business of the Year, which goes to a company with fewer than 50 employees that has existed for under four years, and Small Business of the Year, presented to a company with fewer than 50 employees that has been in business a minimum of three years. The third award is Home Based Business of the Year, for which the winner must be at least three years old. Non-profit companies are not eligible for these awards, nor are companies with more than 50 employees.
Those attending the awards will receive lunch. It will be an excellent networking opportunity for both Chamber members and non-members. No doubt many attending will be contacting Kissimmee printing companies to prepare a new business card order in advance. They will want to ensure they have enough cards to hand out to everyone they meet.
The Osceola Business Awards will take place at the Kissimmee Civic Center on December 6 from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm. Tickets are $25 or $300 for a table of 10.
