The Artigras Fine Arts Festival returns to Jupiter
February 7, 2013 by Mark
The Artigras Fine Arts Festival is always a popular event in Jupiter, drawing over 125,000 visitors each year. It has been named one of the top 100 fine arts festivals in the United States, and this year’s will feature over 300 artists who have created artworks in 14 categories.
Artists who take part in the festival are chosen by a jury and compete for several awards, such as Best in Show and first place in their category. The 14 categories of competition include drawing, painting, glass, photography, printmaking, and ceramics.
In addition to the artworks for display and sale, there will be an artist demonstration stage, an Artikids area featuring hands-on art activities, a Youth Art Competition Gallery, a Tiny Treasures art boutique which allows children to sell their artworks, a beer garden, and a comfort zone in the shade. Event posters from the past several festivals are also available for sale.
It is very likely that the event posters sold by the festival were provided by Jupiter printing companies. Posters are an excellent way to advertise any festival but are also a keepsake for those who attended or took part in the festival. Many of the posters will no doubt end up framed and hung on walls throughout the area.
The 28th Artigras Fine Arts Festival will take place at Abacoa Town Center from February 16-18. Admission is $6 in advance, $10 at the gate, and free for children aged 12 and under.
