Multitude of ways to celebrate July 4 in the Jupiter area

June 15, 2013 by

The Independence Day celebrations are coming up soon and almost every area of the country, including Jupiter, has something planned for that special day.

The Town of Lake Park Community Celebration is actually taking place a few days before July 4. This annual free event, which is sponsored by Parks and Recreation, will feature musical performances, games, food and drink, and arts and crafts vendors. It will be a good opportunity for local artists to introduce the community to what they have to offer.

The celebration will take place on June 29 at Lake Shore Park from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm. For more information, call 561-881-3338.

Closer to home at the Roger Dean Stadium, Jupiter will be celebrating July 4 with two days of baseball, fireworks, tribute bands, and children’s activities. On July 3, the St. Lucie Mets will be playing the Jupiter Hammerheads. In addition, there will be a performance from the Billy Joel Tribute band Piano Man and a fireworks display. On the Fourth itself, the Charlotte Stone Crabs will play the Palm Beach Cardinals. The 80s tribute band Lazy Bonez will appear and there will be fireworks. There will also be children’s activities, such as bounce houses and inflatable slides.

Events at Roger Dean Stadium will start at 4:30 pm each day. Admission is $8.50 for adults and $6.50 for children. Call 561-775-1810 for more information. Jupiter printing companies will likely be providing the organizers of both events with marketing materials.
