The Avenues ShadCo Safety Fair will take place at Avenues Mall on August 18 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. The fair is presented by the Sheriff’s Advisory Committee and attendance is free.

There will be approximately 60 safety awareness exhibits, safety information, displays, and demonstrations of safety procedures. In addition, Operation Safe Kids and the U.S. Secret Services will be offering electronic fingerprinting and photographs for children, there will be a child seat inspection, SWAT vehicles, and exciting vehicles will be on display, such as helicopters and motorcycles. With motorcycle safety training, free blood pressure screenings by the Red Cross, train safety information, paintball games, and appearances by McGruff and Smokey Bear, it sounds as though there will be plenty to do and see.

Jacksonville printing companies will most likely helping to provide the health and safety information that will be presented at the Safety Fair. Local brochure printers can help each organization create and provide literature that will be helpful for those planning to attend the fair.

For those who do not have the time to research important safety issues on their own, or to not know where to look, fairs such as this one offer a great opportunity to learn, as they present everything in one place. Events such as this also allow people to become personally acquainted with those in their community who dedicate their lives to helping the public. Concerns about such matters as crime, theft, and protecting oneself can be alleviated by these kind of events, which raise awareness in a fun and simple-to-understand way.
