The Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce is presenting a four part “Achieve your business dream” workshop series for four consecutive Tuesdays in May. All of the workshops take place at the Chamber’s Small Business Center from 5:30-8:45 pm; registration is $99 for all four parts or $30 for each. All those who register will receive all the necessary materials for the workshops which were most likely provided by Jacksonville printing companies.

The next workshop will be held on May 8 and the topic will be “Business and financial basics.” This workshop will cover how to choose a business name and logo or tagline, how to analyze the competition, how much to charge for products and the importance of business networking.

The third workshop takes place on May 15 and the topic will be “Marketing strategies.” The workshop will cover how to get a website for free, 10 low cost methods and tools you can use, will introduce social media and will show examples of what works and what doesn’t.

The last workshop will be held on May 22 and the topic will be “Create your plan for your business.” The workshop will cover how to create an “elevator speech” and will teach those in attendance the basics of creating a business plan.
