Great meals served with the Great Chefs of Jacksonville

February 19, 2013 by

For the third year, the Great Chefs of Jacksonville competition is back in the city. It is a culinary contest in which the public gets to enjoy a fine meal and then vote for their favorite chef.

The competition will feature two teams; Team City and Team Beaches. Each team is made up of four chefs from the Jacksonville area. Guests will be served a four-course dinner (consisting of two dishes per course) with wine and they will then vote on which dish they preferred in each course. In the event of a tie, a panel of judges will chose the winning team.

The event will consist of cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction, and dinner. The event will also raise funds for the Second Harvest food bank. No doubt Jacksonville businesses will be donating the auction items. They might also work with local printing companies to help let their customers know about their donation and the event. An inexpensive flyer can be sent out through direct mail.

This should be a great event for those who like fine dining, and it will also give them the opportunity to discover some of the great chefs who work in Jacksonville.

Great Chefs of Jacksonville III will take place at the TPC Sawgrass Clubhouse on March 7 beginning at 6:00 pm. Tickets are $175 and must be bought in pairs – only 160 tickets will be sold and the event tends to sell out quickly.
